my girlfriend has a 2.0 willy engined valver...
she started it up after work and the car was ticking over fine for about 15 secs then it would idle about 700 rpm for 15 secs then normal again... then lumpy etc etc
we have changed the idle control valve and that didnt help... change the throttle position thingy (the red thing) that didnt help...
anyone have any idea
please help asap as need the car for tomoz if poss lol.

by the way its not just ideling thinking about it... if i kept the car at 3000 revs it would drop to about 2000 then after a few secs back up to 3000 down to 2000 etc etc |

you cant clean it, you have to replace it.
if the coolant temp sensor was duff you would normally see difficult starting, crap fuel economy etc., doesnt sound like thats your problem. |

iif its the same on the clio as the 19 its screwed into the top of the downpipe just before the cat flange. Dont bother looking though, theres nothing to see. |

thats on the thermostat housing on the side of the head. Its got a white square plug. When you take it out coolant will piss out of the hole. |

right it turns out that it was the lamby bamby that died... i have disconnected it and its ideling fine... next question is... can she run the car without it untill tomoz? or is it bad without it?
