Could any part of my rear suspension be in need of lubrication? I noticed tonight as I came to a stop after reversing down a hill that I got a creaking noise from the back! |

sure it wasn't the handbrake?
but it can crack if theres stones trapped in it |

my rear suspension can squeak a lot sometimes. seems to be temperature dependant, unless it breaks and you do a "view to a kill" dont worry about it |

You got drum rear breakes? the back of my car creaks and i finally figured out thats what was causing it |

Yep. But what specifically is causing the noise then? And why only when I reverse downhill? |

I think its the springs on mine, im getting a new fitting kit soon as they were looking a little worse for wear when i changed my brake shoes last week. |

Hmmmm....was planning to look at the rear brakes before the MOT anyway, was praying I wouldn't have to actually do anything tho'! |

drum handbrakes are loads quieter than the disc efforts, they never shut up, creak and groan if the wind hits the car etc. |
