Good for some things. If you want a cake it's good, best place to walk into a bakery and buy a cake if you ask me, may be a pretty crappy place in some respects but they can make pastries!

Apart from that I've only really seen he port of Calais/Dieppe and the various warehouse supermarkets surrounding so can't really comment.

yup they do have that, However German bakeries are equally as good!

I did however spend the majority of my childhood in Germany so I may be bias.

It only takes me 2.5-3 hours to get to france!

Really wanna go now I can drive over there, make a change from goin with parents/friends. Well want a cake, yknow like 3000 calories in a donut stylee, mmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

only takes me about 45 mins to get to france! go lots, good for beer and nights out!
My mum and Dad used to do the weekly shop over there ( only cost a 31 to go accross on tunnel as we have family working there, but they've stopped this now!)
we should all go over can stop off for night around here then get ferry/tunnel over for a few days!

I go a few times a year, Christmas shopping, Booze shopping, and ciddies for my mates, (I dont smoke) can get a day return for about £26 here
