feck me just looked in the dialogys and noticed the 1.8 rt and 16v are meant to have the blue cap ,have been using the brown one on the rt for ages
according to dialogies again the blue cap is 7 odd quid ,my one on the chamade doesnot hold pressure and makes hissing noises when i squeeze the pipes .
has anybody got 2 caps for sale ,in working condition of course
are these caps a renault only part ? |

Schaks, speakin of caps.......that expansion tank you sent me.....what colour cap is that meant to have do ya know? My cap is white, and it goes on okay & seems to tighten up, but it's really dodgy to get started on the thread like. Also mine hisses no matter how tight I put the fucker, so might be wrong cap? |

its nothing to do with the cap being wrong but fecked.
these caps are meant to withstand certain amounts of pressure 1.4 less pressure thus brown centred cap
1.8 rt SPI/MPI/16v more pressure thus light blue centered cap .
i did know the 16v was meant to have the blue cap but did not think it would be the same for all 1.8 s
i got 2 blue and 2 brown centered caps only the brown 1 is working
the tanks are the same for all renault 19 engines ,i am just on about the caps. |
