depending on how thick it is you may find it will peel off in strips like wallpaper. |

just key the surface and paint over them.
you may end up like JB and get an industrial lot to blast em, you ALWAYS have to ask!
And your right awkward shape, there still got the allen key fitments at th ebottom or did they go out with the old rock shoxs? |

the original surface is pretty ditched... needs to all come off really.
dunno what you mean about the allen key bits. There are 2 cap things on the bottom of the legs which hold the lowers to the internals if thats what you mean. And yes, they are a pain. |

used to have allen key boltsd exposed I cracked a few on rocks, some fell out and so on.
I always prefered solid's, still bent them though. |
