By the looks of things i won't be able to get a snapped coolant temp sensor out of the head of my 1.4 so i am looking for a new head.

Unforunately the local scrappy only has a 1.2 energy. What are the disadvantages of using the 1.2 head? has it got smaller valves?

valves are the same if I remember right, the rockers and cam are different though.

run the 1.4 cam on the 1.2's roller rockers, mighty get more power.

I can't remember if the heads different chamber wise.

why not get the broken CTS removed for a fiver of someithing at a machine shop?

how are you with a welder? weld a nut onto it, this will heat it up and give you something to grip it with.
fill the centre of the nut with the weld.

cannot do that guys the thread of the CTS was the only thing left and none of it was sticking out of the side of the head. in other words it was just making the hole for the CTS bigger. Have taken to machine shop now.

They are charging £100inc vat for removal of the CTS, removal of rockers and valves, skiming and refitting of the rockers and valves. Good price or over the top?
