just wondering has anyone had any problems buying gear from America?
Theres a few things I want and I can get em halfprice including shipping if I get them from the states. |

I havent had a problem bought an Armani watch before, and some other stuff. Be careful, because they put the value on the envelope sometimes for "Payable Duty" at the customs, and sometimes expensive packages have been known to go missing! |

Jonny bought a load of Walbro fuel pumps cheap from the US, but by the time customs had their pound of flesh, it didnt really work out any cheaper.
If you can, get them to mark the parcel 'gift', or remove the packaging and make it look second hand. |

yeah I know the customs dodging, marked as used car parts or gifts etc.
Its from an e-bay shop.
Can get a set of bearings for my tamiya RC car for under a tenner BIN whilst theres somewhere here selling them for £13 BIN and then add postage on it!
The US BIN include handlign and shipping charges, shouldn;t need to pay any mor eon that should I? |

as long as the US one has stated the included postage is OK to go to the UK, you should be ok yeah. |

£4 for 22 bearings! thats pretty good value aint it!
looks to me like you pay $6.95 + $9.95 all in. Always seems wierd to me to pay more for postage than for the item itself. |

Cracking price.
I missed out on a set of used wheels and tyres yesterday for 3 quid which I wasn't happy about.
Need a body shell as well. |

I know when i get DVD's sent from the USA and Canada, if it's sold for £18 or below then there is no duty to pay. I would assume it counts for other goods as well |
