... Like you do. If you was to hit a airbag with a hammer would it go off. Would love to see the result of one. |

Its been known for people to go deaf from the bang of an airbag so I'd be careful!
I heard a story once that someone was annoyed and punched their airbag while driving and it went off, not sure how true that was though! |

you cant set an airbag off by punching it.
You do realise that in a crash its not set off by your face hitting it dont you? |

There was a little old lady who got badly injured near here because she was sat so close to the steering wheel that when she went into the back of someone at 20mph the cover for the airbag smacked her in the face and gave her concussion (she'd of been fine if there was no airbag)!! |

having an airbag in my car would make me paranoid after being told that my mates passenger side airbag went of without a reason while he was driving on the m4. luckily no one was sat on the seat ,but thats not good enough i say |

to set em off you need wires!
nice long spool of wire then set it off, they got about 20/30 feet in the air and are very loud. |

the control box for the air bag system on the megane is attahced to tranny tunnel. jsut in front of the gear lever. the control unit uses a kind of mecury switch to activate the potassium charges in the wheel. |

It can and does happen by hitting the steering wheel. Its not supposed to and it shouldn't but it does! |
