yeah he phoned me from bladey's house the other night, I thought I was talking to a small child. Maybe its just us scots that get deep voices.

I told him just pop in new valves no biggie.

just got home!

10:40 pm:

M25 was chocka with 3 accidents plus i got stuck in another bomb scare just west of Oval tube station where it happened yesterday.

15 riot vans and the old bill not too happy about my car being stuck there, i was not too happy cos i was in the middle of a bomb scare.

they took 90 minutes to let my mate chris into the zone so we could tow it away after it had been investigated by the bomb squad to ensure it was not a ploy.

It may make it on the main news cos 8 camera crews were filming.

anyway battery then dies on me as we exit the M25, no brake lights / hazzards or side lights.

car is now at work, with the windows half open cos not enuff power left in the batt to do them up.

I am off to work in a min with a battery charger to give the batt some life so i can close and lock the car.

i will take my cam too and get pics of the mashed idle pully and state of the cam belt.

the idle pully and the tensioner were swapped out on cambelt change back in Jan of this year - gen renault parts too!

and i am going to make my company pay for the work to get it sorted as i was on company business at the time.

Pissed Off but home thank god.

LOL, what a way for a Renault 19 to get on the news, in a bomb scare.

Sounds like you've had some fun today mate. Fair play to ya!

just before the car came to a grinding halt, i noticed some smoke coming up from under the bonnet, this is what made me pull over in the first place, the smoke was where the cam belt was rubbing on the cam cover due to it being out of line thanks to the seized idle pully!

all 3 19's are broken lol

and i just looked up on the map for the tube station i was broken down at,
it was bloody STOCKWELL!
where they shot the suspected bomber!

i was right on the edge of the cordon but i got there a good few hours after the shooting, they must have extended the cordon after i had got there, i could not see the tube station from where my car was.

it would have been better had it snapped tbh. As it sound sliek it skipped teeth and ran out of time mashing the rest of the valves, just like simons megane!
