Am thinking of buying a kit car in the next couple of months.

As I have a perfectly good F7P engine in my chamade (which I am replacing anyway) I was thinking of bastardising the car. Engine, seats etc.

Just wondered whether there was a suitable renault gearbox to use to be able to use the sierra propshaft and diff?

Or could I get a bell housing that mated say a ford type-9 box to the renault engine?

Thanks for any advice.

i would convert the rear to a live axle, then use a celica box, cheap, and bombproof, im sure you can adapt the box to fit.

the 25 was fwd!

The F7P engine isn't that good and theres far better engines to use for rwd conversions. On the coupe club some russion guy has made a 2l megane lump go into some rwd car.
