Valver gearbox.

Right just found out from the Reno Dialogys That the gearbox in the valver from a B / C 40G or B / C 40K that a 3/5door Reno 5 ( 1.7 ? ) F - series engine. And now going to be putting a Jb3 box in for a X53 That the R19 16V. What this going to do for the car. slow it down a tad. ?

Just tho' I'll post some tecno number do-dah's. As you all like that.

Me think it will be slower tho' not worked out all the gear speed's

do you have a choice of boxes to put on? If not just put it on and find out Exclamation

the speedo cable is different the r5 cable where the speedo cable take off is a different size other than that it will fit ok becuse its the same casing.

if you fit a 1.4/1.7's box it will be slightly faster and rev slighty higher for speed than with the 16V box, 1st and 2nd you will notice (will be more liek a willaims, change to 3rd for 60) but the rest will only be a few hundred rpm higher in gear speeds

It's got the R5 box on now. going to have the valver box put back on. Also with the R5 1.7 box on it does 60-61 maybe 62 mph bang on the rev limiter.
