i have a bit of a whine from my gearbox in my 19 16v (probably the bearings) so i thought i would change the oil . when i drained it the oil was milky like it had mixed with water . the box is not loosing oil but the clutch slips sometimes after very hard driving but seems to get better if i am very gentle , does anyone have any ideas what could be wrong

Why not take the engine and box out, have a look at the clutch and if its fucked change it. If its ok get a new bow anf fit it?

Obviously its not the ideal solution but it would work.

I'm bettin it's your clutch.
