Hi just trying to change the back end of my exhaust been meaning to do it for a while loosened all of the bolts but cant get the prongs out because of the rubber stoppers, never done this before but loads of people have said its easy just wondering how to remove the rubber stoppers just thought this was the best place to ask is there any way to cut them off!!!


just cant seem to get them off because of rust etc...1996 megane so its got a bit rust under there LOL Smile

I poked a dirty great big flathead screwdriver in underneath the rubber round the hangers to release them. Didn't actually take the rubbers off at all.

you can cut them off. the megane rubbers have a plastic insert, cut them off and get renault 19 rubbers as they are under 2 quid each which is 4 quid cheaper EACH than thr megane ones.

thanks alot for the advice leaving it till tomorrow now getting bit dark up here in north east goin for a few pints down my local thanks ill try it tomorrow
