i have a problem with my remote locking plip key fob. if i 'aim' and for whatever reason, the locks dont open, i have to actually wait for like 3 seconds before i can try the plip again with any success.
ive noticed with other 19 owners that if they 'miss' they do not have to wait to be able to plip again.
wtf?!
cheers |

i had the same problem with my 1.8 rt,when she was alive ,dont know what the actual reason was but has to do with the sender or receiver .
it also had weird ways of locking the car instead of unlocking it when it was allready locked (if this makes any sense) i guess yours is acting the same .
i never bothered cleaning the connections either on the sender or the receiver but swapping them with another set sorted the problem .also make sure the nut holding the aerial in place is not rusted away letting the water on to the receiver connections and give them connections a good clean unless you want to g for the swap |

I had to solder up a key fob yesterday. The IR transmitter had come loose from the board. Which would sometimes work fine then take 50 presses to work then sometimes like schakals it would lock the locked car!
Fine now. |

plip on my 19 does not work unless i fire it at a direct line to the sensor from as close as possible to the drivers window and thats on new batteries, when the batteries are low i have to use both fobs and press them at the same time .
plip on the laguna on the other hand i can fire from about 200 yards away |

Yeah I get the up close and point it at the sensor thing with my valver too, even then I stand there for 30 seconds trying to get to work. might as well shove it in the door sometimes |
