Well unless I'm being blind I can't see one so I'll start.

The weekend was made up of Chris, Neal, JB, Dan and of course myself. As I was picking up my Clio from Chris I was given a lift up by Dan, who took a massive detour round his normal route from Somerset to pick me up - many thanks to Dan.

First night was spent camping on a small beach round Loch Lomond. Day after JB, Neal and me decided to scale Ben Lomond. It was close to 1km in height and took us 3 hours bang on to ascend - a pretty good time apparently!

Second night we spent on another beach around Loch Lubnaig (?) where we got a fairly decent campfire going. Morning after we spent in Ikea having a massive £1.55 fry up on the recommendation of Mr H.....

After some pictures in a local car park near Chris's house, Dan set off back to Somerset just after 10am yesterday morning and I set off myself in the Clio about half an hour later.

According to Chris, Neal and JB left at around 12 today so I'm they'll just about be getting home now as I write this!

All in all a very enjoyable weekend that would have been made all the more enjoyable is everybody who signed up to it could of come along!

Lots of pictures were taken but the few I took need to get transferred to this PC, Neal has plenty anyway so his will probably be the first to go up!

Personally I'd like to say thanks to everyone who went for making the weekend so enjoyable, especially Dan both for the lift up and for going all out to make sure he passed his driving/theory tests first time so he could go!

Aye, good weekend.

Amusing events like me binning sa bouncy ball.

But top effort from the wee man Dan, good lad, went out his way for Ben etc. Hes also a pretty good driver actually.

Ben as always matey, pleasure and your john wayne kick out the tent door was hilarious, something Dan and I shall remember for a long time!

JB was up since wednesday and we talk a lot so it was good meeting him at last. Good lad.

Neal was as I expected an arsehole Razz But hes a great lad to.

We all got on very well i feel which was nice.

Will see you 4 at the next one hopefully!

Yep, sooner rather than later I hopes, I'm sure the Clio will give some reason to warrant your expert attention on it Chris!

Goes in to be welded tomorrow...

I will do matey. As regards the fuel pump......would you suggest replacing the whole thing and be done with it or is it repairable in situ?

its on the side of the tank, its the aux pump so you don't have high pressure etc to worry about, you need to clamp the hoses off though, easy job.

but if you give it all a good wipe down then stick it in for the test it may be pass.

I left at 530 on friday, got to bens about 930/10 the got to Glasgow at just before 4. not a bad day i rekon(sp) was absulutley(sp) shattered, did home Bens in one hit, the Bens to the scottish border then stopped for a coffee then on to glasgow.

Was a very good weekend, as Chris mentioned Bens exit from his tent on day one was very memorable, and watching his tent on day 2 whilst he was getting dressed, again, very memorable!

Even thinking about the ball incident makes me cry from laughter!

Some very nice roads up there, shame it couldn't grip some of them, will deffo attend the next meet, hopefully a bit closer to home! Looking forward to the pictures of it.

New words I've learnt off the Scots man himself are:

Pish
Dricht (sp)!?
and how to pronounce lock..oo i mean Loch Razz

Very Happy

Excellent weekend!

I really enjoyed myself and cant say enough tbh.

Got home about 11 in the end as I took the country route which I prefer to the motorways...was in no rush.

Great meeting ppl, plus hanging round with them for a few days you get to know them a lot better than just a meeting in a carpark or something...the camping idea worked really well and all I can say to those that couldn't make it, shame as it was such good fun.

Also met were Alan, Mark (red19rt or something), Roddy21t and even George! (soneji) so nice to meet them, although they declined to camp with us...wimps Razz

I missed the John Wayne kick out the tent...what was that all about? I was sleeping no doubt...

the first night was funny, getting to Loch Lomond at about 10 and having to find a spot, pitch tent, start fires etc etc all by the light of our mobile phones! funny.

looking fwd to seeing some pics.
