Chris, or anyone who might know.
Have just put a new rear quarter panel on a 2002 clio 3dr. Have now got the task of puting the rear quarter window glass in. I have the window glass for it however am unsure what bonding agent to use.
The glass does not seat directly against the panel appature but instead has a half inch thick rubber ring frame bonded on the inside of it. It's this rubber that bonds to the panel. So is a case of not bonding glass but bonding rubber to metal. As not being a front window do you think Tiger Seal would be strong enough or is there a better adhesive that can be sourced. Or is it a case of getting a proper window fitter in? |
