What your best time. did 7.8 in the 19, with the old Box on. Those on RSC might have seen the 7.13 I did with the Megane. |

My best was 8.0 dead in the 19. This is me timing & driving at the same time tho so probably about 1% accurate! |

I find fastest time in my Clio is done by changing either dead on or just before the 7krpm limiter....need more practice tho'! |

see now ,that sounds a bit dodgy to me ,i would not like to upset the limiter especially at low gears. |

he has a point.
but pointlessly revving an engine = pop.
seen it happen before.
normally its best to change gears when the book says its producing its maximum bhp at certen revs.
the rest is just wasted energy.
what revs dose the F7P prduce its full 137? |

I done a crap one with JB where I nearly stalled it but kept going and it was about 8 seconds! lol
But I have had the chammy under 7 seconds a few times.
Rev to the limiter, try not to hit it though. Except if its straight to 60, the limiters above 60 so its not an issue. |

14 seconds is pretty pants Ben, I've had a sub-12 second 0-60 from the 19 once and that was with me 1 up. |

Has 12 seconds up a slight incline with a blown headgasket and the car standard lol. Reckon it will pull about 10.5-11 how it is atm on a nice flat straight |

Well before Retro-Renault , RSC etc. I had a sound clip of the Ph1 chammy and that did a 0-70 in 8 sec. I know because it hit the limiter in 2nd. and was able to use software to see the wave pattern to mesure the time, You could see the bump bump bump of the limiter. I've not got that clip anymore But that looking like a sub 7.5 easy for the ph 1. As for the Ph2, that's allways had the 17's on. and with Jimbo old 15's with 13 year old tyre. getting good traction is a pain. The 7.8 is a guess. as the best in the ph2 on 17's with the timer is 8.0. so i've just knocked off the 0.2 sec. as for the megane i'm posting the clip. but the road it was done on still quite new. so load's of traction.
Here a vid of the Megane run.

Yeah it's all done now matey. With the standard 13" alloys on and the back seats stripped, reckon it would go quite well
Pulls upto 50 easy enough, just the last 10Mph it kind of struggles |
