Need 2 front bearings for the TD. Had a quick search of the site and found a post with these bearings from germany. Now it lists my 1.9dt on there but aren't there 2 sizes of bearings for the 19?

I went down this route recently but they require bank money transfers and it all got a bit messy. i found a bloke on ebay who does a pair for about 40 quid delivered got my fronts of him and just did my rear yeaterday [breaking a 12 ton press in the process!!!] any way his e-mail is roger@darwentward.plus.com
really helpful chap just ask him for a price!

how can you break a 12 ton press with rear bearings? They tap out easily and if they are stuck in there due to corrosion etc the disc/drum is iunfit for further use.

Anyway you need the larger bearing and they are about 16 quid new at a factors.

How do you tell which bearing you need? Im guessing the only way to know is to take the hub off and measure?

Out of curiosity, would the 16v be the same bigger bearing?

yes.

The only car I have ever seen the smaller bearing on is project Y. And I have done a lot of bearings in my time.

Cheers chris, will just slap the 16v's hub on for now and get the bearing changed at leisure.
