Hi all,
I had a good clear out of my shed the other day and stumbled across the original air box for my 19 16v. As I was bored I thought I'd have a look inside to see If I could customise it to fit my induction filter. However I found that it had a K&N filter init already.
These cars get quite hot under the bonnet as your all aware but I want a bit of advise from ya.
Should I continue to use the induction kit or change back the standard box?
I know the gains will be minimal either way but I'm bored and am going to sell the filter I don't use |

stick with the IK, makes a better noise lol
you could make a cold air feed to the IK by having a piece of tubing feeding to the front of the car, the straighter the tubing, the more effective it will be.
I have a piece of tubing from my IK to the front using the same hole in the rad shroud that the origiinal airbox cold air feed used.
but as you said performance gain is hardly noticeable, its all about the noise it makes hehe. |

I am "the other day" means like 2 weeks ago or so for me.
I'm still having problems with the computer at home so I can only log on at work . Misses played with the operating system and fooked it! so I had to re install everything! problem is that I dont have the drivers for the modem! I can get them online but cant log on to get them .
Dads sending me a new one with drivers though so I should be up and running for the weekend |

Yup, All about the noise .
I'm using the cold feed hose from the 1.4 as it fits the original hole on the valver quite well. it was long enough to make 2 feeds wich was good . |
