Just been trying to get the 16v going again, but everytime I connect the battery, the Alarm goes off....I dont have the alarm key either, is there a way round this?

I'm guessing you can't just cut the cable or use a large brick? |

un plug it, lift the scuttle panel where the alarm is and theres a white plug of which you can disconnect, it'll go off for a while if the battery is connected, but only for 5mins if that. |

I've chopped the key in the battery compartment off and bridged the connections, but no go, will try your idea

I have a genuine alarm unit in the garage some where are you in need of one as I will never need it. |

I have 3 or 4 spare original alarms, all are shite.
Remove it totally, get the scotch locks etc off it. bin the thing, its more dangeroius than usefull. |
