.....The hassle with my frikkin exhaust that is Rolling Eyes

Well as you all know (and are probably sick of by now!), I'm currently going for the 'longest time ever to fit an exhaust properly' record. Well, I think I broke that record after the first day, lets be honest. But yeah, 687 months later and I thought I'd finally sorted the frikkin thing, but earlier I noticed this;

Image

Bit frikkin close innit! Back box to the tyre I mean, incase you didn't notice. I can't even fit my finger in the gap between 'em, so it's pretty damn close. The tyre has touched the backbox occasionally by the look of things, but isn't constantly rubbing it. I don't think the heat of that back box right next to a tyre like that can be doing it much good anyway, even if it isn't touching!

Ah well. I am not posting this up cuz I am expecting you guys to help me sort it or anything, I just thought you'd like to laugh at me again lol.

An opinion would be useful though......... How much do you think I should be worrying about this on a scale of 1 - 10? 1 being "ah sod it" and 10 being "do not drive ur car another inch before sorting that!".

yep, thats scorpion for you. Mine was the same.

The problem is that the backbox is meant to be 'skewed' to the tailpipe, ie it doesnt run parallel to the centreline of the car, but is angled slightly. Scorpions arent made like that and therefore come really close to the wheel. You appear to have a cable tie on the tailpipe there as well, is that by any chance to try and make up for those SHITTY scorpion hangers that i told you about?

Yeah Chris, I love the way the standard one just fits.......that's it.......job done. Can't really fit it wrong cuz of the hangers, it just goes on right first time, end of story.

Whereas this one.......

Hmmm that's an illusion of the pic. The spare is like new, just checked to be on the safe side! It is a 13" wheel tho, not a 15" like the rest. Have always wondered if that's right or not. Cuz those space saver wheels are smaller than the 'normal' wheels on cars surely aren't they? But yeah, I know that isn't meant to be a space saver. Although talkin of space, there doesn't look to be enough room to get a 15" in there anyway, if a 13" fits nice in the rack Confused

The 15" fits perfectly in there and doesn't move about or anything cos it's quite tight. I only mentioned it cos my spare would probably rune for about 20 metres lol.

Damn. Well I think the previous owner of my car had a general problem with tyre & wheel sizes, cuz my rear left tyre was 185 wide when I bought the car, and all others were the correct 195, and the spare wheel is totally the wrong size lol Rolling Eyes

the spares meant to be 15 inch. A 13 inch won't fit the front of the car.
