Will a 'Phase1' 1.4e head fit the bottom end of a 1.6e?.
Afaik the 1.6e is just a bored out 1.4.
So does that mean a 1.6 bottom end will fit straight in, slap the 1.4 head on and away you go?.
Anyone got any ideas? Cheers. |

So the gearbox, ECU and everything will still work fine?.
I'm dubious as to how much extra I will need. Or does it definetly just replace the 1.4 bottom end?. |

the box and so on will be fine, the ECU will run the car but not very well. It will not get its full power complement.
A 1.8 laguna TB will help but tbh you need it remapped for it to be anywhere near what its capable of.
And tbh ditching the MPI is binning the best bit of the engine. |
