On my 172, are the rear shocks the same as the 19's? as im thinking one of the shockers on the rear is a bit soft as it feels a bit boatey round corners!

Dan. Off topic for just a second, How would you rate the 172. I bought a damaged 52 plate clio only a 1.2 16v as I got it for a family member. Am impressed by its rigidness and steering and hence led me to think what would a 172 be like? How would you compare the 172 against say a 19 16v.

the clio seems to be a harder ride compared to my 19 16v, bit higher aswell, its a bit arse happy, but that may be down to the shockers, rolls a bit more in the corners than my 19, alot quicker on the flats, useless to accelarate in the wet. Gentle Ben will back me up on this! |

Good review. Cheers. Believe it or not even the 1.2 has a hard ride you really feel pot holes however because its body is so high it tends to roll, obviously a lot more than a 172.

nowhere near the same.
I fixed a clio today, Dan knows the one, shes not lettign you have her lights though. Outer CV gaiter came off and shes driven it for a while like that, the stock clip snapped. So I re-packed it and used jubilee clips to secure the gaiter back on, magic.
Also new clios are shit. |

dunno, I'm really not the person to ask, try clio sport sand get someone that actually uses the car. Its hard over there as they only go out for 10mile trips each month. |

Hey, my clio is only to go round town for my mum and for that purpose is a great little car. Have heard alot of bad news regarding electric faults, from electric mirrors, immobilisers, airbag systems and coil packs on them though. Good job my 52 plate cost under 2k or I would not have bought it. Might need to spend that again keeping it on the road if the reports are true.
What is it with some Renault Drive shaft clips my old S reg Laguna broke 2. |
