Hi, I have symptoms of blown head gasket i.e white smoke from exhaust, coolant loss, mayo in oil cap boo hoo. However the white smoke only occurs when the engine is warm and only really upon pulling away (nice large cloud) but also a small amount at low revs in second. My question is if it is the head gasket wouldnt i see the smoke all the time? Is there anything else it could be? car is clio 1.8 16v cheers

higher revs would let more water through the leak hence more smoke from the zorst .
sounds like head gasket deffo i am afraid, did you check if there is any oil in water tank ?????

Also, your only going to get steam when the engine is hot enough to create it.

Yes that could explain no smoke/steam untill warm. Also just checked the oil and the level seems high and is light brown i think that pretty much proves its head gasket Sad just seemed weird to me that i only got smoke pulling away not all the time but wtf do i know!
