annoying probs with starter... sometimes it starts first tine some times it clicks, so need to turn key several times then it will start.. i can pull up for petrol.. attempt to start and it wont.. it;'ll click..
the solenoid is not stuck.. done the old whack test....my battery is fully charged(test 2 charged ones)
anyone any ideas before i replace it?.. btw i have also ran a direct + feed .. still same probs.....all car earths cleaned and extra ones added.

isit only when its hot? does your starter have the heat shield on it? like in this pic of chris h's :

is the spade connector on the starter loose?
That will cause it to click, also makes you think your battery is dead but it's not. |

if its clicking then its either shorting out or the solenoids working but the starters not, could be anything from a dodgy earth to a wrong starter |
