he means that stuff is shit and i agree big time especially after seeing the state of the 1.8 8v head i have taken out a few days ago . the water holes were filled with a similar stuff blocking the water circulating around the head causing hot spots etc
so if your head gasket is gone change the gasket(do it properly ) |

Oh, I see.
My HG isn't gone, but I think the head on my oilburning 5 (GTD) has another(!) porous head and had heard that this was a cure. |

that stuff will make it worse and you will probably end up with a head gasket problem .
what actually is the problem with your engine ? |

porous heads go between water and oil ways.
not really into inlet/exhaust ports.
Get it sleeved if its gone between a waterway and oilway. |

The early 1558 diesels are well know for porous heads. Head to water = Gassing up. |
