 Cold Start Problem - More Detail

Ok, so here it is...

Starting the valver from cold it doesn't fire into life straight away, you have to put your foot on the gas and hold it, let it start and then hold the revs at about 3k for 30 seconds and your away. Once its warm, it starts instantly.

If you don't put your foot on the gas, or let it slip below 3k if splutters and backfires and stalls. But only when cold and only the first time you start it.

CTS but the crank angle sensor could be an issue.

new CTS is a tenner.

unplug the CTS and see if the problem goes away first.

Like i said mate, the CTS is only £8 ish from GSF, no point buying a second hand one. Just get one and see if it fixes it. If not, then we can take it from there.

Have to be an overnight jobbie because she'll never cool down enough to show the fault again in an evening.

My Grandad has just called me about having his Clio. 1.4 Automatic Confused Talk about timing!

You wouldnt want the clio Wink I can see lots of cups of tea being consumed while its cooling down...we could change the cambelt anyway.
