I recently bought this, its on special offer of £15 until the 1/1/06 then its the full 30 quid whack.
http://www.libreriauniversitaria.it/BUS/1932573046/Scotland_from_Above.htm
A glorious book of the great scenery that is scotland, shame about the people in it etc.
Aerial photographs of many parts of the country where intrestign things are, great mountains to parks in the city. Some may not find it intresting so probably not wise to go and spend 15/30 quid on it without a flick through at bookworld.
not the same as the one I have but same title, same photographer,

aerial pictures of the world, some are pics of market places others great natural beauties like mountains and rivers. Its divided up into montsh and at the start of each month some scientist tells a tale about how we are killign the earth etc, great stuff.
Pictures are truly amazing. |

oh i dunno, i read a lot of books
currently going thru the wheel of time series by Robert Jordan
i am on book 4 of 13 at the mo
jordan is very tolkienesque so if you like Lord Of The Rings (i've read LofTR about 20 times now) you will love the Wheel of Time
just so you know, Robert Jordan also wrote the Conan The Barbarian series of books. |

Yeah I've got the Wheel of Time series as well Neo. Lord of The Rings with knobs on. Gets less good with each successive volume though.
If you like fantasy stuff, I recommend the Farseer trilogy by Robin Hobb. Assassin's Apprentice, Royal Assassin and Assassin's Quest. Very good series. |

there is only one outside of Edinburgh, and they're pish. Cars shucked ontop of cars really haphazardly, its muddy as fuck - last time I was there with Project Y car they had one TD hatch n a white 16V Chamade - but they had dropped another car clearly from some height on top if it - the roof was touching the headrests! Was minging damp anno
Someone had cut all the wiring loom to buggery for no other reason I could deduce than fun Wasn't much you could tax off it
yum yum off to grans for tea! |

well another aerial photography book. Amber bought me this and tbh its boring!
Briatains history from the air, its palaces, castles etc etc. All it talks about in the passages are kings and queens etc. Not my thing.
Pictures are semi intresting though
Stirling Castle
Ok for a fiver but don't pay the full cover price! |
