just to explain,as many of you know, when you go to renault direct they may ask for oval plate details!!!it means little to most people but everything to the parts dept,it contains type details, trim codes, paint codes, country spec,a more exact date of build, options etc, even if it has a/c!!its very usefull to have written down and always brings a smile to a partsmans face!!
this is my car B295(RARE OLD BEAST)plus then all the other didgets, list what you have, might make interesting reading??

stan you sound like the type of chap renault parts people love(not!)you see icm details(when owners can only be bothered giving the reg,if they can remember it!)gives the parts chap all the details on the oval plate, plus the complete list of items on your car,but only goes back a certain time(around k/l reg on)but doesn,t do imported cars 95%of the time, thats when you actually have to go to the car and open the door and use a pen/paper to write the details down, the slight worry for people giving a direct part number is that if the item is incorrect, the dealership won,t care, you gave THEM the part number, your fault if its wrong!
