Rite Guys,

Having talked to Chris and some others I/we have put some Ideas together for the next big meet.

We thought it would be a good Idea to choose Black Pool as it is about halfway between London and Scotland (ish) but it helps with the travel costs for the Southern boys and girls who seem to get the brunt of it anyway.

There are no plans set in stone mind as it’s only in the planning stage at the mo and x-mass will soon be upon us. However the feelers are well and truly out now and I need some feed back if you want me to make this work.

Taking into account the slight flop of the BSM due to people not being able to afford it I feel the best time has got to be the first weekend of February or March as it should give you all some time to recover from the financial burden of x-mass and should have some spare cash for the event. However I may be wrong and this is the point where your feedback comes in.

I need to know the following:

if your interested?
if it’s too close to x-mass?
Do you want a different location in the Midlands or somewhere else?
Do you want a camping stile event like the BSM or what?
and so on and so on.

The list is endless guys so if you want another meet early next year let me know and I’ll do all the hard work, you just turn up.

Sounds like a good plan Doc's, and Blackpool is only a few hours away for us Scottish lads Very Happy

Im definetly interested,

March sound fine to me,

Blackpool sounds a great place, and having done LOTS of partying there in my time you need to make sure the season has started, no point in going if everything is shut Laughing anybody know when the season starts ??

Im happy with camping or B&B, although it may still be a bit cold and wet in March for camping, just something to think about, and there are plenty of cheap and cheerful B&B's there Laughing

and i know this cracking drivers road (back road) from junction 33 to Blackpool hee hee Razz the 1916v used to handle it with precision, wonder if the 21t will Laughing

i do know the owners of several clubs in blackpool Smile

and yes i am up for it

i dunno about camping sites around blackpool, i have been there countless times and not seen one

there are plenty of cheap B&B's and hotels in blackpool but booking in advance is advised

there is a premier lodge on the outskirts of blackpool, nice large car park and its about £45 a night, not bad places as it goes, i have stayed in plenty of them over the years cos of work

also bring plenty of money for parking, it can be quite expensive depending where you park.

i know that road too Smile

there are quite a few good roads up and down the coastal area once outside blackpool, i lived in Liverpool for a while and when ever i had a job in preston or blackpool and there was big delays on the M6, i always took the back roads, loved them for nice exciting driving.

I used to travel to Blackpool every weekend for 2 years (ex g/f stayed in Poulton) from Catterick camp (its 96miles if i remember correctly Doc Laughing ) it was doing that every weekend that put the milage on my ph2 1916v sky high Sad but for the partying and other things Wink it was worth it Razz

I know there is a few non drinkers but there is/was a club called The Tower (anybody know it ?) it opens its doors at 0900ish and the music is pumping then aswell, its in the middle of a shopping centre and its really wierd coming out of there at 1030 feeling abit merry, it feels like you've just been in the nightclub all night and you step out and its broad daylight with people doing there morning shopping Laughing

Sounds like a reasonable place for a meet, but im not a big drinker and I detest nightclubs, so if the plan is for a big clubbing/boozing trip, ill probably sit it out...

agreed

last time I went to a blackpool meet, Soneji and I just went to the fairground, we got on all rides apart from 1 which was annoying!

Also 45quid a night.

We got a B&B about midnight right on the sea front for 20 quid a night.

Well it's a given that it won't be a booze cruse however were all adults and if some people want to disapear of to the clubs at night then I personaly don't see an issue.

Tbh there are enough people who wouldn't want to go on the piss to make it work both ways.

It's not a Butlands Holliday, people have the choice to go and do what they want, likewise they can also stay with the crowd and we'll find something fun to do.

but thats just my opinion.

Black Pool as your all saying is more than likely a B&B if for no other reason than the weather at that time of year. (you big girls Razz )

Laughing I am a big drinker, if I remember correctly I headbutted a boy from RSC in our room lol woops

Blackpool is minging, filthy, full of tarty slaggy things and generally rediculously expensive...

The room wasn't much better to be honest, didn't think much of the place

spot on chris..i was gunna say why not the lake district as it is in the similar region, if not closer north.

i dont think i would go for a booze up in blackpool, just not my thing really. can do that here any time.

in fact i think i will go to lake district regardless as it is something i have always said i will do, so RR or not i think i will go.

lol dont think anyone said anything about it being a booze up weekend?

i dont drink when clubbing anyway, i avoid townie clubs, hate them, cattle markets full of local slags and boys who think they are 'ard.

the type of clubs i go to are music specific, as in they cater for the EDM scene and on the whole, most ppl who go to that type of club dont drink much alcohol, they go for the music.

i'd only really want to visit The Syndicate in Blackpool if they had a decent DJ line up whilst we was there, Roger would enjoy it too as he also likes EDM but does not mean everyone has to go there.

i think if you wanna do it as a camping holiday then avoid blackpool, there is no where to camp as far as i remember, we are best off going about 60 miles north of blackpool, the pennines or the lake district, loads of places we can camp up around those areas.

Blackpool / hillwalking ??? ....... at least we've got till March to decide Laughing

As Wicked Neo says, nobody has mentioned its gonna be a booze weekend, there's plenty else to to do there and have a laugh.

Yeah, Blackpool is full of all those bad things ......... great is'nt it Cool Laughing

Wheather its Blackpool or hillwalking, im game for any of them.
