On the mk1 megane the subframe is the same i think, and the floorpan nearly the same, but the shell, nope. |

i reckon a mk1 megane would look sexier with some ph1 16v bumpers after some modifications to the bonnet etc. |

yeah i was looking at a mk1 megane 'classic' the other day, the booted one, equivalent of the 19 chamade. I reckon it would look alright with a bit of pimpin'
Plus, the F7P/F7R should go straight in |

thats the main plan actually , but not sure the megane saloons (if thats what you are referring) look that much of business with that huge ,high, round arse
i was thinking more about a hatch personally |

why? I mean why!
The megane really isn;t a good car at all!
Any you buy will have bodywork issues and quality control is awful.
the seats are terriblem the dash is horrendous unless your 5 foot tall, ambers who is 5.8 struggles to reach the hrw windows cos her legs in the way, i can't get to the leccy window switches unless I unclip my belt and lean over to the lassenger side.
Its a shite car.
The laguna is far better! |

no way ,the chamade stays with me for a long long time now especially just after killing another chavved up corsa on my way today well chuffed
the thing is i have done quite a lot of decent work on that car changing the heater matrix ,cleaning and renewing most components of the cooling system ,changing both ball joints ,new rear shocks ,track rod ends ,getting the whole interior out for inspection and proper cleaning etc now after all that i know more or less the whole condition of the car which i am quite pleased with , i would not give up on her that easy ,the next level would be a F7R head or something else to give more torque
the megane would be the idea only if this country runs out of suitable 16v s tbh ,some sort of future investment more like |

My Grandad had one of these, 2.0 Automatic was pretty nippy, in Monaco blue as well! I'll find some pics sometime. |
