I'm going to hazard a guess and say yes.... merely due to the fact that 16v suspension fits on the 1.4 so I would assume that aftermarket 16v parts will also fit. |

Yes, they will fit, youll need the 16v top mounts though.
Why youd want to do it is the more relevant question |

I think my struts are going to the bin soon.
Might aswell go for something a bit better than lowering springs
Where do I get top mounts from? |

why spend £300 odd on a set of coilovers for a 1.4? spend it on something else, or, buy a valver. |

Talking to JB he thinks he might have some.
I think my struts are slowly going to fall to pieces, not because I drive hard, I think it's due to the fact that they are super duper rusty and genrally a bit nackered and old.
Thanks for the info chaps, gives me something to waiste my cash on. |

You sound like my Gran
You could apply that to any car, at the end of the day you rarely make money on cars and I have a good condition 1.4, which one might get a valver engine put in it. I would sooner have a great condition 1.4 than a taty 16v. Whats the point of getting a new car I would have to start all over again and I will just be ripped off by the insurance people.
I am going to stick with what I have and fiddle about with it so that maybe one day I can stick a bigger engine in it |

well at least that suspension kit is intended for the 16V, so if you ever do end up 'upgrading' to a 16V, you can just swap it straight over. |

Why?
You said 16v suspension would fit on a 1.4? So why not 16v coilovers?
Why say it will when it wont? |

I have 3 months wages to spend on the car so I might aswell use it for the car.
