yes the car killer aside from me ripping them apart.

This is what it looked like before it was destroyed

Quite smart, not perfect but looks pretty good eh.

nice rear arch

It was a lot worse, this car had had a botch fill job and dodgy respray at the arse enfd, it was ok when you looked, it took a while before I belted the filler off that took up much of the panel, it was 10mm thick in places.

the underside

here if you look you can see the holes in the sill. What you can't see is the rail under the drivers seat is held on only by the underseal.

heres a good pic of th erear arch from a distance

You can also make out the holes in the sills.

Not got any other pics showign the rust etc because SHE has taken them up th eflat for no reason whatsoever.

Wow nice filling job, did he even bother cutting out the rust, or just thought he'd just fill right over it?

Another one bites the dust eh?

the rust probably crept under the filler, and it was a body shop that done it. To good for an beginner and the guy that owned it before me was a pillock.

when you took th eplastic sills off and th einteior rear 1/4 panels you could see daylight in a few places.

The 16V's don't get the same rustproofing as the 1.4s etc.

on the hatch I just tugged the skirts and the bottom of the sill just tore cos of the rust.

Get them off asap tbh.

New screws and the white plastic blocks the screws go into are cheap enough, if your tight go to the scrappies and take interior screws instead of new ones from ren.

They will be hiding a ton of mud as well.

The neighbours do love me.

No crime in my street at all cos of my slight dodgyness.

The drive is coming on, the pavement is now dropped for it, easy 3/4 car on ramp now.

That side was the cleanest looking - how ironic, see the massive holes in the sill?

in case you don't know the front arch liners hold a good 2/3 kg's of mud behind then at the bottom. If you open the door and look at the hole you shouldn't see anything, if you see a plateau of mud get it sorted out.

Loads of rust spots on them.

heres a pic that was taken at the same time as the very top pic. You can see a rust trail from where the filler has cracked but iot doesn't look anything to bad.

yeah but it doesn't look *THAT* bad though.

Need to get the skirts off the chamade and clean it all up then slap some waxoyl in there.

The hatches side skirts when I removed them the slidey brackets had rusted right through on a couple of them. You can't buy them seperately, so I will try and knock some up out of sheet metal.

Will put a pattern up on here when I do so anyone with the same prob can make their own.

I am talking about before I helped remove the rusty bits.

The car looked pretty good.

Wish the chamade was a quick as it though.
