 Brake unions

Can somoen with dialogys get me part numbers for replacement nuts on the front brake unions? Managed to round mine off removing them. Anything else need replacing while im at it?

I got mine from a local motor factors for a few pence each - 11mm ones

Are they all 11mm? Or are the 19/clio different?

its 11m thats the head dia of it, some are 10 though, depends on rust and what was lying around.

I dont think i've been describing things properly. Its the nut on the end of the green copper pipe that needs replacing. Looks like an arse to do?

yes a 11mm union. you need to cut the brake pipe then re-flare it.

Hmm, sounds like ill need to go out and buy some kit. Is it ia difficult job chris?

not really.

obviously steel pipes a bit harder to do than the copper pipe you normally use.

Me and Chris tried some pipe flaring for project pratmobile over the weekend using a dodgy cheapo chinese pipe flaring kit off ebay.

Early attempts varied from pigs ear to laughable, but in the end we did a few passable ones.

A bit of practice and a half decent pipe-flarer and it wouldnt be that hard.

Use a dodgy ebay chinese pipe flarer though and youre really up against it. Bad workmen blame their tools and all that, but without decent tools, youve got no chance!
