Hey guys,
like me, my mate also owns a megane - but a crap ph1 1.4 8valve heap.
When going through the gears and settling in say 4th, the car is sounding pretty loud - much louder than before, and constant. Sounds like a heavy grinding noise, quite deep and from say 2k revs upward?
I've said i'd have a look at it tomorrow, but I'm not really keen on doing it without any ideas.
Background info:
Has had front left wheel bearings replaced 3 times in this year.
Timing belt NEVER been changed, despite the car's 1997' age.
only done 58k miles?
Any thoughts or even ideas would b great!!

its also loaded more in the higher gears so its probably an engine issue. |
