righty has anyone actually ever got a 449 blue car gleaming? I have never seen one, if so what you use?

I mean good enough to look like glass.

I can get it shiny and you can read newsprints in the reflection etc but its never clean looking.

I'm pretty sure there was a debate on polish on here not that long ago and simonds1 posted some excellent pics of his 449 Valver shining like a biatch!

Personally I use Turtlewax stuff thats in Asda, its £3 a bottle and gives a very good shine, although it doesn't last very long.

My mate has some Megs stuff that did a lovely shine, but I forget what its called - although we used megs shampoo first.

that just looks like mine when washed though.

It loosk good till you get up close then you see its not all that.

Same with every 449 car I have seen.

My latest ploy is not washing it, the blue cars not been washed in about 6 months. Still looks ok, suppose its not moved in that time though.

Looks good to me. Have a day just rubbing one door down with wax and it might turn out nice Laughing

Auto Glym is king Chris. You can't beat it imo.

You should give it a try.

Oh btw, please reply to that Pm Chris. Me love you long time.

Ah Addie, you beat me to it! Yeah that's my car after a good clean with some Turtle Wax Zip wax. I doubt very much it's the best stuff out there....probably far from it.....but as you can see it does the job!

It ain't too bad once you get close up either....

used meguirs on the red car and it was shite, it really is over rated. Farcela seems to be the best.

i reckon the blue will never get good, needs to be a different colour.

I always found polishing 449 was a waste of time, it was only as shiney as a quick wash
