What improvements / modifications would you make? Within reason here, nothing super silly. I mean like design flaws, bad ideas etc? Even little things! State PH1 or PH2 or both.
For my poison, PH2 I'd have:
2.0 16v as standard
Swoopy Dash
Diffrent colour dash illumination
Shorter airel, maybe a rear bee sting
A visable exhaust on PH2 Chamades
More will come to me, but any others? |

never noticed mate
it would be nice though thinking about how a simple addition to the arches could protect them for years |

I find it makes corrosion worse. |

All of the above, plus I would get rid of the torsion bar rear suspension and have normal springs, nothing to do with changing the handling, that's good enough as it is, but just because the torsion bar is a pain in the arse, and also gets in the way of the exhaust. Yes, I'd be happy to sacrifice the small bit of boot space required for that. Nice weight saving there too.
Secondly, I'd have the engine head designed 'the other way round' i.e. inlet at the back, exhaust at the front, for ease of turboing.
Gearbox would have to be significantly stronger, JC5 at least as standard, preferably a beefed up one.
Better design of front strut top mounts/bearings. One that doesnt preclude any possibility of getting the poxy things apart.
The steering wheel and pedals would be central to the driver's seat, not offset.
Gearstick very slightly further back
Better quality control on the line with regards to rust protection around the arches
Most of all, I'd want a coupe version!!!

Oh, and I'd like to be able to make a single wipe of the screen without switching the wipers on, then off if you know what i mean. A momentary push of the stalk upwards or something.
Also, the dash should be all black and the door pockets would match etc., not black/grey two tone, which if I'm honest, looks bollocks
Wouldn't mind the clio style oil gauges either |

i think my ideal 19 would be the following
2.0 16v lump
uprated box and clutch with shortshift maybe 6spd to keep revs down at high speeds
lower at the front than it is now as well know they sit high
rear wheel drive for powersliding oooo the fun
lether as standrd with heated seats
smaller steering wheel summik like i got on the scoob a 300mm momo millenium
make a few ltd edition 19s nothing to fancy different vent slightly bigger spoiler and gold wheels and have a plate inside to show what number
try and get a ph1 boddy kit(skirts, frnt and rear bumper) on a ph2
mabe more but thts what id like to have |

yeah another 19's! lol
You can fit the megane dash but its the worst dash ever designed in my eyes!
Some mongo designed it and you can only operate the switches if you are either 3 foot tall or outside the car |

I'd also like them to come in a really dark graphite colour. Almost black, but not quite. Metallic with quite a large grain/flake to it. |

God, you guys & ur vast knowledge of 19's......and u dunno how to do a single wipe of the screen lol
Just flick the stalk back towards the steering wheel. As if you were gonna hold it back to spray & wipe, but don't pull it back all the way to spray the water. There's like a 'step' in the stalk. So just flick it back a bit (not far enough to spray the water) and there you go.......single wipe! |
