A friend of mine has said they will pay me to change his belt, its a 1.4 ph.2 clio. Much easier than my p1 RT it seems.... anyway after paying £350 for a garage to put a new clutch in and cable he doesnt wanna take it back because they also scratched the car abit and damaged one of the headlight mountings.
Anyway, roughly how much would it cost for a average garage to change the alternator belt, then i can get a idea of what i should charge.
Or maybe do it for a tank of fuel |

theres 2 belts, the pas pump belt which runs forwards and theres the alt belt which runs backwards.
Unless its not got PS that is. You need to remove the PS belt before the alt belt.
Its not hard at all, it can be unpleasant if its an oily mess though.
Like huw said an hour at most if its your 1st go but it won't take that long.
Either a tenner or get that tank of fuel! |
