its splined in the hub, if the splines are stripped (never heard of it happening on a ren) then thats the problem.
GFo down the scrappies and get that diesels hub carrier. |

right 2day i went to get the driveshaft when i got there he told me he had 1 already out the car and tht i wouldnt have to take of the 1 he was breaking, so picked it up brought it home got the old 1 off in the pissing rain took it inside to make sure they were the same and my dad noticed tht the new one we bought was missing a braeing off the spider which goes in the g/box end. by now im fuming coz i been outside for a hr in the rain trying to get the old 1 off to find this. on fone i got and guess wat he wouldnt ansa my fone or my sistas. foned lee and advised i hammer the spider off both driveshafts and put the good on the new shaft. getting the one off the newshaft was easy the one off the old shaft was harder aventually got it off and my dad started malleting the spider on the new shaft, next thing u know the bearings flown off somehwre in the hall way, after all tht work and bothe spiders are fucked now im stuck with two useless shafts a sodding 19 with no wheel and no transport of my own for a week. about half hr ago the guy fones up and says he had no idea and tht he'll try and get anuther for me i mean tht could take days so if anyones got ne ideas on where to go from ere let me know plz untill then ill have to w8 for anuther shaft form some1

good lord man, speak english! That last sentence would make an english teacher weep!
You said earlier that the splines inside the hub have gone, and you haven't got a new hub, so can you tell me how a knackered hub is going to react different to a another shaft which is exactly the same? |
