i had a look via the search section found some info so went and had a look at car and in engine bay the speedo cable is connected to anything just thread there is summit missing i think????
if so what and ware does the cable plug/twist into cheers ill get a pic of the end in about half hr |

it plugs into the gearbox ,you will see a hole behind the engine where it mets the gb ,slots in |

yeah thats a broken speedo cable,the rest is still stuck int he box.
Look for the rear engine mount, you can't miss it then you will see the remains of the cable stuck in the box. |

cheers chaps im havin no luck with this car aaaaaarrrrr
so i take it will be exspensive to get a cable then??? what other reno's cable fits if any to help widen the search
and how do u change cable??? gearbox apart or plug n play??

oh well ,its schakal to the rescue than
here are some pics that shows where it slots etc
the bit stuck inside the hole looks like this
and this is the easiest way you can get it out (schakal style baby:))with the help of some wd40 of course

btw i also have a funny theory that you might not need a new speedo cable if you can get that bit out without damage .
even that much of damage can be rectified imo ,at the end of the day the cable you took pictures of goes through this metal thingy and as i can remember it just holds the outer skin of the speedo cable itself if that makes any sense |

it will go back in, as long as the white and black plastic bits are ok it should latch as well.
Otherwise it'll keep fallign out |

well if you do need a new cable i suggest you drop your trousers as you walk intyo renault as they want 77.40 + vat for the cable and its a renault only part! |
