Mechanical cam followers in clio F7R engines. what are they?
I know as standard it runs hydraulic followers, but is there an advantage of having mechanical ones, how do they work, is much modification needed, are they noiser than hydraulic?

I think they're generally used with cams of greater than 270 degree as the std items can pressurise with oil quickly enough beyond that duration. |

yeah, its for anything over 276 deg cams, u need to fit mechanical followers. But what are they? how they work? are they better than hydraulic?
etc, etc, etc....  |

it just means they are solid with shims, not self adjusting like hydraulics. they are lighter than hydraulics so can go higher rpm and withstand the greater cams. |
