Doc's Blue P2 16v

Here are some pics of the P2 valver I picked up with Chris the other day.
As you can see she is very clean for a 25 pound car.
I've not done anything to it yet apart from change a rear disk and wash it.

There are some bits to sort out though like the front bumper that isn't attached properly.

Note the gap on the left between the bumper and the bodywork under the light cluster.

Some spares that came with the car, including a new water pump and rear disk! Razz

these are the spares I liberated from the scrappies yesterday. They include another reardisk, later modle thermostat housing and some plug leads. All for 15 quid!

Mialage is 94072.

some more little points to fix include the heater control panel the loose gear knob and the boulsters.

It's still got both heat shields Shocked

Obviously the topmount had cracked, so some muppet has welded it up! Rolling Eyes

this is why the washers in the bonnet don't work, I'll have to pull out the arch liners and get the pipe out.

like wise the speedo cable has been pulled out.

All in all not a bad car, I'd have paid a lot more for one in this condition.

after takin out the rear bumper if you find out the lhs mount is broken/streched like mine ,just let me know and i will tell you the magic solution Wink

u can let me know as well schakal, my rear bumper has got to come off now and the mounting repaired as some muppet hit the back of my 19 last night.
Looks like it was done whilst the idiot was trying to park up, they of course drove off without telling me, i noticed this morning as the back bumper has green paint marks on the drivers side corner of it and is now really loose Rolling Eyes

for the broken mounts, just use that metal strip with the holes in it thats used for...er...'stuff' that you can buy in the factors. Just cut a couple of lengths and screw them to the bumper crash structure inside where the original plastic ones were. You'll see what I mean when you take the bumper off, quite self explanatory really.

Ive had to do this on 2 bumpers, works fine.

my way is cheaper and he does not even need to take the bumper out Wink

NEO lay down under the loose side of the bumper and look up ,you will see a metal structure going all the way from one end to the other end of the bumper, now between the inside rail of the bumper and this metal structure ,you will have to stick a wooden piece with the ruff dimensions of 2cm/3cm/6cm ,the 2cm bit is the one that takes the gap between the bumper and the metal chassis structure ,so this may need to be thicker or thinner than 2cm

my bumper was about 1.5cm down on the left and the tail pipe was hitting the bumper all the time .its all sorted now

I thought I've been doing pretty well for bargains, but Â£25 for that car! Shocked

yeah Doc beats my Â£67 r19 ph1 16v chammy for sure

I'll have the rear bumper off during the week to check the damage and see what needs sorting on it

i am on about the 3 rear mounts on the chamade bumper ,and the structural material is feckin plastic baby Wink

unless the are made of metal on the hatches which i doubt very much

im talking about welding the top mounts, ie the bits at the tops of the struts. That's what everyone else is talking about, hence the comment about welding being above a picture of the strut top mount, not the poxy bumper. Rolling Eyes

Over the weekend I did managed to fit another rear disk, as the bearing was knackered in the rear left one. good job as well because two more wheel bolts snapped!

I fixed the washers by reconecting the pipe however only the drivers side jets work, so I'l have to play about with that.

And I was given a nice new shiney gear knob which lights up with blue LED's.

I also put the white hatch's 17's on her and TBH they suit the blue hatch a lot more than they did the whie one anyway.
