how similar is it to the 1.8 rt/rsi engines ????
--is it controlled by an ECU ????
--would tje heads and bottom ends be the same ??

is it carb'd? or SPI?

that should tell you if its ECU'd or not!

all i want to know is if i can turn the 1.7 into a 1.8 rsi with a rsi head ,loom and manifolds etc without too much hasle or not????

no, the capacity is from the bottom end. whether you could run it with a 1.8 head i do not not...doubtful i would imagine.
