my chammy needs the heater matrix changed too, I cant be arsed to do it again. Freeze my tits off in the mornings.
Also, those leccy heaters get hot instantly, clear the screen etc straight away.
might have to invest i think |

I was think of getting 5 so you could have Dolby surround heating
Think they are about £10-15 so not too bad. I've ordered one to see how it does. |

have you tried removing the hoses to and from the matrix and blasting mains tap water through it for 20 mins?- did the trick for me |

Those ceramic heater things are complete crapolla! I got a cheap one (about £7 or £ from a motor factors near me and it was complete and utter shite. I could wank more heat out basically, so I took it back and told them it wasn't as good as I expected and they were fine with that and basically agreed that they are crap! I then thought I'd get a better one, so went online and got a £20 that was a 'higher spec' lol. But yeah, you guess it, about as much heat as a gust of wind like. Shite.
I spoke to a guy at a local garage that I haven't tried here yet (cuz every other one I've tried so far are bollocks), and explained to him that my heaters don't work, but everything I've done would suggest my matrix is possibly okay. Stick a hose pipe in one end of it, and water comes out the other side clean enough for you to drink like, so I don't see what the problem is. He said it's gotta be partially blocked enough to stop it working fully, and to drain me cooling system, stick some neat rad-flush in the matrix and leave it over night, then flush it out again and that should shift it.
I have flushed the cooling system about 874 times now with no change in heater performance, but maybe this will work. I'm gonna try it this weekend maybe, but I somehow have a feeling that a whole night of radflush sat in the heater matrix.........means a few leaks in the morning where it eats away at any weak rusty bits! Ah well, won't know until I try |

with most of them ,its new matrix time .you cant expect a crappy matrix to last more than 6-7years anyway .
just changed mine on the chamade a few months a go ,now after 5 mins ,it blows literally hot air . i mean if i managed to do it ,anybody can |

it could quite simply be an air lock in the matrix... |

Yeah I spoze it could be JB, but like I said, I've flushed the system out about 847 times, so therefore I've also bled it 847 times lol. But I know they are complete bastards to bleed all the air out of, so I dunno. I've gotta have the cleanest cooling system ever now tho
Well, on a 19 at least! Shame me frikkin heaters still don't work tho! |

I filled mine on a slope of 1 in 3 and my 19's a TD so shouldn't have to slope it. Hosed the matrix for 30 mins forward and back. Have got a little bit of heat back but I deffo think my matrix is up the duffer. |
