is the above possible coz WOLF of here bought my old head of me and his mechanic is saying it wont fit on his p2 lump, but i thought the only things which are different are the sensors for the thermostat where on a p1 they go in the head on a p2 they go in the housing |

Yep the mechanic is talking shite.
If he's that bothered he can just use the thermostat housing/sensors off the p2 head and just leave the sensors in the p1 head in their holes but not connected. |

he pm'd me a while back, I said they are compatible cos they are, sounds liek his mechanic is a tit tbh. |
