Yet another pointless question that you probably all won't know the answer to, but I'm interested to know your opinions on it anyway.....

As you probably know, I went to france on the weekend with work. We went in me boss's car which is a 1995 Audi A6 2.6 V6 estate. It's quite a strange car, it 'feels' really quite quick, like it'll put you back in your seat under acceleration etc........but whenever I glanced at the speedo it wasn't actually goin that fast. I'd be nodding off in the back seat and suddenly feel what-seemed-like a mad surge of acceleration, so I'd open me eyes and see what was goin on like, and the speedo would be on 55mph and not really climbing that much! It'll have a lot of torque I assume, that's why it 'feels' so quick.

But anyway, I'm just talkin shit now lol......the question is, what do you guys reckon would be the quicker car, a 19 16v or this audi? I don't know the torque of the audi, but I know it's got 150bhp, which is a bit crap for a 2.6! And I reckon it'll be a good bit heavier than a 19, so I dunno.

19 will outrun it until 100 or so.

The audis have soft suspension so they dip lots when brakign and squat when accelerating, they all do it, even the sporty ones.

Yeah, when he floors it in 1st and changes into second, hell it rocks back & forth like. Really bouncy car. Maybe that's what makes it feel quick....the amount it tilts back when you accelerate. Who knows. When I was in the car on the way back, I was wondering if I'd be able to keep up with him, and thought that I probably could......but if he accelerated in 4th or 5th, I'd probably have to drop to 2nd or 3rd to stay with him!
