 Cold start problem!

Right the Clio is becoming increasingly more difficult to fire up in the cold mornings.

The problem has gotten gradually worse over the last week or so - initially it would fire up on the first turn of the key but the revs would wander between 300rpm and 1000rpm and eventually stall. Only on about the 5th start off the key and with bit of throttle would the revs stabilise and the car be happy to go anywhere.

Now it's a struggle to get it to fire up and I'm having to start pumping the accelerator to get some juice in to help it fire up - this morning it took no less than a dozen attempts to start off the key before it finally got going!

Once warmed up the car is fine and performance is on the button as usual. There's no misfires/flatspots/smoking so it's not a problem with the engine itself.

I've narrowed it down to a problem with the injection system/ECU, would I be right in saying the CTS and Lambda are the prime suspects?

Any help appreciated.

Cheapest place for a CTS?

I've found one on GSF but they want £17.50 for it! Surely you can get 'em cheaper?

There surprisingly hard to find here Huw! Went round a couple of places with no success.

What are Renault likely to sting you for if you go to them for one?
