well the abundance of replies must mean that no other muppet in the world has one, very sensible of you!
Problem, silly running speed.
At idle when cold its about right, roughly 1500rpm maybe a tad less by ear. Thing is as it heats up the speed gets higher and higher, must be idling around 3 grand.
It also seemed to be running to rich, you just want to push the choke in which it doesn't have.
There is NO CTS on the thing, only a temp sender, well I changed the temp sender with a working one from the 16V and no change.
When you take the keys out the engine takes a good 5/6 seconds to finally slow down enough to stop!
I have seen this before in a 5 with JB, we were in edinburgh and the 5 in front an L plate was doing the exact same thing, revving to buggery then when driving they just used the clutch.
Its a tad annoying. |

t reg ren 18gtl 1360 cc i think what engine was this think it had points long time ago now drove it to skegness with no heater blower in pissing rain foggy windscreen al round .good for leg over. nice comfy seats body made out of rice paper .happy days. |
