I think it's the power steering rack but feedback would be helpfull.

Basicall when changing direction in steering I get a clunk sort of noise and notchy feeling steering. So if I have full lock to the left on and then go full lock right it'll "clunk" as I change direction, it doesn't even have to be full lock just change in direction.

New lower suspension arm and track end on the drivers side. Have the bits to do the other side as well but haven't got round to it yet. Back on the road for now as got tax sorted. Only one problem......tommorow is the last day of MOT so I can drive it to and from work and that's it.It's a lot better with the rear beam changed as well but I was wondering if I'm better spending my time on a steering rack first to get it through MOT or not as I'm assuming I need to remove some of it to get the rack out.

Have printed off an MOT check list from the net so I'm going through as much as possible. I'm gonna replace that nearside balljoint and track end ASAP and see if that helps. I can always get the struts off flipper if need be but I'm trying to get as much done as poss before getting any more bits.

im pretty sure that will cure it but if not then it could be something internal in the rack itself therefore (im sure you can guess the rest)
