Everytime you are rejected it shows on your credit rating that they've not accepted you so it makes it even harder to get a card.

Your best of calling rather then going on the net because if they're not sure they can ask you some further questions.

Try
Mint - 0% On balance transfers AND purchases until Sept 2006
Halifax One - 12mts 0% on balance transfers 3mts 0% on purchases
Virgin - 0% on tranfers for 9mts

Other then that, Smile maybe (Co-Op)

nah no blacklistings, ages ago (this wasnt my parents fault) they used to own telephone pizza and the guy that owned th franchse tuk us for all we had and my parents ended up bankrupt but that was well over 10yrs ago could that be a reason? i think i might have to call a few banks up or go in personally

that won't be helping. Although bankruptcy should be cleared after about 5 years or so to an extent.

if you still live at the same address, say you live with your mrs or summat and go from that address for a while.

credit ratings are good. You need one to get a mortgage.

Paying for fuel is a good way to doing it as its not much and as long as you keep it payed off you'll be fine.

My mrs has a terrible credit rating cos shes a stupid bint (thewonderfulme on here) and shes still paying it off after baliffs threats etc.

if you get into shit though the CAB is a good place to go, they can get the intrest etc frozon on debts, and as long as you pay somethign back they cannot take you to court.

Even if you owe 10 grand and pay back £1 a month you are trying so they can't take you to court.

Its of course better to never get in that situation.

Also avoid the skeezing or skoozing or whateve rits called, 1 mistake can fuck you up proper and leave you in big debts, although when done right its a free way to a few hundred quid a year.

Credit cards are shit. If it's not a life threatening purchase then your best saving. I've just paid off my credit card, now just use it to buy fuel and use it on the net for the card protection. It's too easy to just put stuff on the card and worry about it later.

If you do get a card, set it up so that the full balance is due payable every month, that way your less inclined to make larger purchases.

Been doing that for years Smile

Credit Card, 0% 12mts 4500 Credit Limit
Bought £4300 worth of Stock
Sold on eBay for £5700

Put £5700 in savings @ 5% = £285 Proft
Cashback @ 1% = £43

Profit: £285 + £43 + £1400 = £1728 Very Happy

Also got £8,000 student loan in a bank account earning 6% interest but paying 2.5%

5 years @ 2.5% = £8833
5 years @ 6% = £10705 (Mixture of Halifax Web Saver and Montly Saver)
Total Proft: = £1872 Smile

Although I ended up spending some of my student loan capital so I'll probably be no better off but still better then owing!
